Luciano is board certified obstetrician and gynecologist and a specialist in Reproductive Medicine who obtained his medical degree from the University of Catania in Italy and undertook further specialty training both in Italy and the United Kingdom. He achieved his subspecialty certificate in Reproductive Medicine and in laparoscopic surgery from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in London in 2006. Since then Luciano has been practicing as a consultant for over 15 years and he has had a clinical and academic interest in the field of obstetrics, gynecology, assisted conception, and early pregnancy loss for the last 20 years. He decided to study medicine as he was privileged to be influenced by his father who was also a gynecologist and obstetrician and then decided to undertake training in Reproductive Medicine as it was at the time an evolving field and one that would combine scientific knowledge with ongoing clinical developments. Luciano was privileged to work in many institutions and visit many other institutions across the world where he developed his own perspective and clinical skills that make him today the consultant he is and also had the opportunity to work with non-clinical colleagues that have given him the insight of dealing with the emotional side of fertility.
