No, it’s not a recommendation but pregnancy can improve the endometriosis or can delay the advancing of the endometriosis.

Avoid the monthly menstruation then the body has got time to heal and control those endometriotic deposits and that is why people say that pregnancy is helpful in that sense. So if you become pregnant for nine months and breastfeed because you do not get monthly periods so your body gets time to heal those endometriotic deposits obviously.

Of course! Why? For the same reason that we said before – pregnancy is a condition where the immune system is much calmer. Much calmer does not mean it is not working, is working more normal and it is working in the “non overreacting”way. The pregnancy balances the immune system and the immune system works better and does the job and it is not allowing these things to expand every month. New cells and new cells are accumulated in various areas and then they create those problems. During the pregnancy, the immune system is calm. Of course we don’t have another reason, we don’t have this bleeding – new lining – bleeding – new shedding – new lining -all this is an extra reason to produce more endometriotic cells. During pregnancy the lining is nice, thick and does not change.

Yes. The answer is yes. For women who are pregnant while they have endometriosis so the symptom will just calm down. In pregnancy progesterone hormone will just flare up and all this storm of autoimmunity can sometimes be suppressed to allow your body to accept the baby. So in pregnancy different hormone functions in your body will just settle it down. So women who got pregnant, who are breastfeeding or just suppressing the function of natural estrogen to be released like lactation (breastfeeding) suppress endometriosis because your body is not under this high estrogen state. So the answer for this is yes.

Well, to be honest there’s no cure for endometriosis – it’s a chronic disease so, it flares up and it’s suppressed, it depends on the hormonal status of the lady. It’s a chronic problem unfortunately and it can’t progress with time but what suppresses endometriosis is pregnancy is one of the conditions which can suppress endometriosis and actually when we treat it like in that in terms of fertility when I do laparoscopy and treat endometriosis and I improve the fertility of that lady and when she falls pregnant and reduces subsides and we know that most of the pain with endometriosis subsides with pregnancy but not always and don’t forget that when a lady is pregnant you will not have periods and one of the most painful pain of endometriosis is with periods so, definitely pregnancy will have some effect on endometriosis related pain and usually ladies feel much better during pregnancy in terms of pain but but it is not always the case. So, a definite pregnancy will improve the pain of endometriosis so it is.
