Is early miscarriage more common with IVF?

Do IVF pregnancies have a higher miscarriage rate? Does IVF cause more miscarriage? How does IVF decrease miscarriage?

I think the research suggests that assisted conception including IVF has a small if any increased risk of miscarriage itself as a treatment and normally the potential increased risk of miscarriage is because of the chronological age of the mother and the father or perhaps some other underlying fertility issues that could be a card by couples embarking on IVF. But per se, if you were to look at the same age groups and and compare natural conception with IVF, there is no statistically significant increased risk of miscarriage in women that have achieved the pregnancy through IVF compared to natural conception.
