If you’ve got mitochondrial gene mutation, in particular genes, it may affect the motility of the sperm because the mitochondria are vital for generating the power for the tail to move. So if you’ve got mutations in the mitochondria and they’re not working as well, the batteries aren’t driving the tail motion so that it can affect male fertility.
