Is Mini stimulation recommended for “low egg reserve” patients?
Is Mini IVF better for diminished ovarian reserve?
Nowadays patients not only are concerned about costs of treatment but also about the effect of drugs used during the stimulation process. Studies confirmed that higher dosage is not necessarily as effective in case of patients with low or diminished ovarian. Similar case is with PCO patients. What and who can benefit from Mini IVF or Natural Cycle IVF?
Absolutely, yes. I think these are the best category of patients who will benefit from mild stimulation. In other ones where we are still expecting more than one egg, however the number we are expecting is low and by giving a lot of medication, it is not going to be beneficial for you, but definitely, mild stimulation can give us the desirable number of maybe 3,4 or 5 eggs. So yes, definitely worth considering.
