How can I induce my ovulation?

We need to remember that ovulation is hormone dependent and for the ovum to be released there are several processes to happen. It would be best to first check if all of the hormones are in place and to that, blood test needs to be done along with abdominal scan.

Actually there’s very little that you can do to kick-start ovulation yourself. Ovulation occurs due to changes in hormones and is very dependent on those hormones. There’s very little that you can do to influence those yourself. Obviously, things like stress and being unwell can impact on your ovulation but it’s difficult to really suggest anything you can do at home to kick-start your ovulation. However you can take medication that can kick-start your ovulation and that is normally medication called “ovulation induction” medication. Some women who aren’t having any cycles and aren’t bleeding, then their doctor might prescribe them some medication to give them a bleed and sometimes that can then kick start an ovulation after you’ve had that bleed and reset the cycle.

So kick-starting ovulation naturally can be obtained by sticking to healthy habits, having a healthy diet and making sure that you remain within normal as far as your body mass index is concerned. As normal we would define the BMI of 18.5 to 25 and that would be the result of a healthy diet rich in vitamins, legumes, vegetables and reduced intake of fats and sugar. Medically, you can start under your physician’s supervision tablets or injectable medication that can help induce your ovulation.

Well if you want to do it naturally, wait for your LH peak. If you want to do it artificially, doctors can give you an LH shot and just release eggs from your ovary artificially but that’s a different method there.
