Does a failed IVF cycle make you more fertile afterwards?
Do studies show that women who had a failed IVF cycle found themselves pregnant naturally within some time from the procedure? How fertile a woman is after an IVF cycle that failed?
Answer from:
Gynaecologist, Fertility Specialist Clinica Tambre
After a failed IVF treatment, you are not more fertile. But the truth is that is a thing that we call the cumulative pregnancy rate that is going to increase at each embryo transfer that we are doing. Obviously with one embryo transfer, we have a fixed percentage, depending on our age and embryo quality, for example, 50%, but if we have done several embryo transfers, then the cumulative pregnancy rate is going to be greater as more transfers are done.
