How soon after your period are you fertile?

Typically women ovulate 12 to 14 days after the first day of the last period. For some women a short cycle is normal and they may ovulate as soon as six days after the period.

That’s really a question and really depends on the length of your cycle when you first start your cycle. Unless you’re very used to having a very short cycle, then you might not know that ovulation can occur. It is actually possible to ovulate very very early in the cycle when you’re still having a bleed. In general, we consider a normal cycle to be anywhere from 25 days to 35 days but it’s okay if now and then you have a shorter cycle or a longer cycle. There’s nothing to be concerned about.

The time period after the first day of menstruation varies as far as ovulation is concerned. Ovulation can take place as early as cycle day seven and the earlier ovulation, the shorter cycle will be.

Less than 21 days or 21 day cycle is already considered not healthy and a doctor should be consulted but let’s assume there is a 22-day cycle which could happen.
22-day cycle and then let’s deduct 13.5 days let’s say 14 days with the margin of error, then you are 21 minus 14 – you are on day seven and let’s say your period lasted that particular cycle seven days so they will overlap. That’s the earliest you could ovulate. Of course anything can happen but like shorter cycles are really not considered normal so it’s better to check a doctor because it could be that the hormones are all over the place and maybe ovum are being produced in different days that are perhaps far too early or maybe not so it’s better to check with the doctor for any potential hormonal disruption condition.
Very importantly track your hormones, chart your hormones to know where you are.
