Who is not suitable for PRP before IVF?

Answer from: Jana Bechthold, MD

Ovarian PRP before doing an IVF cycle makes sense in women with a very low ovarian reserve because we want to improve the answer of the ovaries to a hormone treatment so that we can achieve more follicles and more eggs in an IVF cycle. That means that women with a very good ovarian reserve are not suitable, or let’s say, they don’t have the benefit of PRP before doing an IVF cycle.

About this question:

What are the contraindications for PRP in IVF?

Certain women may have contraindications that prevent them from undergoing PRP therapy before their IVF treatment. It’s important to note that not all fertility patients would find PRP treatment beneficial before their scheduled IVF cycle.
