What is a good number of eggs retrieved for IVF?
What is a good number of eggs retrieved for IVF? Is there an optimal number of eggs that should be obtained?
Answer from:

Average number is 10 to 12. That’s what we would expect to reasonably achieve in a stimulation. Getting too many is not too good. So if a patient gets anything more than 15 eggs, we would start thinking about what the quality of those eggs is going to be like. We want to very responsibly stimulate and at the same time make sure that we don’t over stimulate. A -to make the patient feel unwell to the point of hyperstimulation and B- to jeopardise the quality of those eggs because the quality is going to be very mediocre. The average number of eggs we want is around 10 to 12 to get a good outcome.
