These days you can order a home kit. Thanks to technology and advancement all you need is one pin prick on your finger, some blood and when you get the kit you will have all of the instructions, a return label as well. You prick your finger, put your blood in the kit and it will be sent away. It is posted back and you receive your results in around 4-5 working days. It will give you your full hormone profile, your AMH. But yes, to look into doing proper ultrasound scans, so far you will have to visit a clinic in order to do this. Blood tests these days and even semen kits, can be ordered at home and you can do the semen assessment via these postal kits.

It is rather limited in terms of the tests that you can do at home that will give you any usable information and for women mainly it is about checking your ovulation which you should be able to tell by the regularity of your cycles and sometimes if you pay close attention, you might notice some of the symptoms of ovulation (that mid-cycle). You can also buy urine tests which look for a hormone called LH and you can do dipstick tests with these and they’re reasonably accurate in telling us if you’re ovulating and in fact, they might also help you pinpoint when you do ovulate.
