Can immune system prevent implantation?

Can the immune system be the cause of implantation failure? What makes our defence system recognise pregnancy as a threat?

The body, I think, is the most important factor for the reaction and if you ask me because I check a lot of inherited problems from mother to woman and from the father, you can see that we are like this. There are families with stronger immune systems – this means that they have all the characteristics of the people with a strong immune system – they don’t get ill very often, when they get ill, they experience just very minor symptoms when the people next to them have much heavier symptoms. All those are the good, the advantages of a strong immune system. What practically it means – it means that when our body gets irritated from something our immune system sends instead of sending a thousand soldiers to deal with this problem, it will send a hundred thousand. This actually means that we’ll finish the job very fast but imagine that this overreaction can also happen against an embryo.
