Yes of course and this is called intracervical insemination and there are lots of kits which are available to purchase on amazon. They are really helpful to complete the insemination at home. Obviously no sex is required and it is an easy and cheap option, however ovulation is the key to achieve this. You need to have regular ovulation and you need to know when exactly you are ovulating. Basically, it is a syringe or pump that uses the sperm which is produced outside of the body and you can inject it really slowly and very close to the cervix. This is why it is called intracervical insemination. It is fine to insert unwashed sperm versus the intrauterine insemination when injecting unwashed sperm is a bad idea. So we only use washed sperm in intrauterine versus the natural way where we inject this through a syringe near the cervix.

Artificial insemination at home – I do not recommend that. I don’t think there is a rule for that. If there is a rule in couples who are struggling to have vaginal intercourse, penetrative intercourse, those couples definitely they can be taught the process of self-insemination and to overcome the problems with sex but not otherwise in couples who are able to have sex regularly, the insemination will not offer any advantage, additional advantage. It does not increase their chance of conception compared to normal intercourse.
