Aleksandr Darii, PhD

Dr Alexandr Darii, PhD, is the leading Fertility Specialists of the ICSI clinic in Kyiv, Ukraine. The ICSI clinic was established in 1998 with the core mission to diagnose and treat the most severe forms of infertility.

ICSI team was the first in Ukraine to perform intracytoplasmic sperm injection ICSI, ICSI plus TESA, cryopreservation of single spermatozoa, PGD with frozen embryos, FISH and many other methods.

Dr Darii created the Frozen Medical Academy in Saint Petersburg in 1990. In 1996, he started to work in the field of reproductive medicine. A lot of innovations in the field of reproductive medicine were developed with his participation. Dr Darii also participated in various congresses, workshops, visited different fertility clinics in Belgium, Germany, France, Austria, Bulgaria, and many others. He took part in the improvement of the IVF procedure by the ICSI method. It was performed for the first time in Ukraine by a specialist at the ICSI clinic. ICSI team was also the first in Ukraine who performed TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration), a procedure is used to obtain sperm in men with obstructive azoospermia.

In prenatal diagnostics, both procedures chronic virus biopsy and amniocentesis were improved to minimize the risks and consequences. According to medical indications, the special technology of embryo reduction was also developed to minimize possible risks. All that had been developed with Dr Darii’s participation and was conducted at the ICSI clinic thanks to the great team of professionals.

Nowadays, ICSI clinic performs the most advanced technologies for fertility treatment. Amongst them in vitro fertilization, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, IMSI, TESA, assisted hatching, egg donation, surrogacy, PGT, gender selection with a success rate of over 80%.
